Würzburg Seminar on Quantum Field Theory and Gravity

I will discuss some recent ideas in quantum field theory and string theory that have led to surprising new, infinite number of new formulas including the Euler-Beta function, pi and zeta functions. These series includes in them the Madhava-Leibniz series. Using similar tools, I will then describe surprising new physics insights into Ramanujan's famous 1/pi series.
