EP3 Friday Seminar WN46 2023

Transport Signatures in Thick HgTe Quantum Wells and what that means for HgTe as a 3DTI
Date: 11/17/2023, 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Hubland Süd, Geb. P1 (Physik), Röntgen Hörsaal
Organizer: Lehrstuhl für Experimentelle Physik III
Speaker: Christopher Fuchs

Dear colleagues,

please find below the announcement for upcoming EP3 Friday Seminar sessions on November 10th and November 17th, about topics that are interesting perhaps outside the chair.

The common denominator of both talks is that we demonstrate the power of k.p theory in explaining the recent experiments in EP3/ITI. On November 10th, Wouter Beugeling, Leonid Bovkun and Christian Berger will present a joint talk where we revisit k.p theory and compare our calculation results with the spectroscopic measurements. On November 17th, Christopher Fuchs will present magnetotransport measurements on high-mobility HgTe samples, show the excellent fit to the numerics, and discuss the results in the context of previous works published in our group.

The talks will be Friday November 10th and 17th, 15:45 in the Röntgen-Hörsaal.
We encourage and looking forward to see many of you in person.
