Evaluations Concept

Courses, individual selected modules and entire subjects are evaluated at regular intervals or on an ad hoc basis in order to ensure the quality of studies and teaching.

The results of the evaluations and the associated teaching reports are published electronically and provided via a cloud space accessible to all students and teaching staff on the WUE Campus platform: https://go.uniwue.de/evaluation-physik.

Courses

• the evaluation of the courses is carried out by the student council
• a specific questionnaire is used for the course evaluation in order to collect questions on, among other things, the teaching of the material by the lecturer and on the follow-up, preparation and practice effort required for individual courses
• within the first weeks of lectures, the lecturers receive initial feedback, which allows for adjustments to be made while the course is still in progress
• at the end of the lecture period, the lecture survey is conducted online or via questionnaire in the courses
• the evaluation is carried out by the student council in cooperation with the deans of studies
• the publication of the results takes place semester by semester in the "BlaBla-Operator" of the student council
• the summary evaluation is part of the annual teaching reports submitted to the subject commission and the faculty council
• Measures are derived in close consultation between the deans of studies and the subject commission.

Modules

• the evaluation of the modules is carried out by the quality officer in consultation with the deans of studies and the student council
• for the module evaluation, the data of the course evaluation is used and a specific questionnaire is used on an ad hoc basis to collect questions on the workload, knowledge transfer and examination technique of individual modules, among other things
• in addition, individual evaluations of modules are carried out over several years of study
• the evaluation is carried out by the Quality Officer in consultation with the Deans of Studies and the Student Council.

Course of study / Subject

• the subject evaluation is carried out at the latest every nine years by the Quality Officer in consultation with the Deans of Studies and the Student Council
• a specific questionnaire is used for the subject evaluation in order to collect questions on, among other things, the entry into the programme, the structure of the programme, the advisory and support services and the organisation of examinations
• in individual cases, certain subjects may be evaluated before the end of the nine-year period
• the evaluation is carried out by the quality officer in consultation with the deans of studies
• the publication of the results takes place through student general assemblies held at least annually
• the summary evaluation is part of the annual teaching reports submitted to the subject commission and the faculty board
• measures are derived in close consultation between the deans of studies and the subject commission
