Junior Research Group Leader

The Faculty for Physics and Astronomy of the University of Würzburg invites applications for a

 

 Junior Research Group Leadership

 

for up to five years.

To strengthen our research efforts, we are looking for an internationally recognized person whose innovative and internationally visible research activity connects to the successful existing research areas within the Faculty for Physics and Astronomy at the JMU (www.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de).

 

We offer the opportunity to conduct independent research and to lead an independent junior research group (one postdoc and one doctoral researcher) for a duration of up to 5 years. Salaries are governed by the Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder (Collective Agreement for the Public Service of German Federal States, TV-L). Applicants must have several years of (international) research experience on topics supplementing the research activities of the faculty. Moreover, we expect a university degree with high marks, an outstanding doctorate, publications in international journals and a passion for teaching (5 weekly contact hours).
