Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics

Our research covers a wide range of open questions in elementary particle  physics:

  • Breaking of the electroweak symmetry
  • Properties of the Higgs Boson
  • Properties of electroweak gauge bosons
  • Properties of top quarks
  • Precision calculations for experiments at LHC, ILC and other colliders
  • Supersymmetry and other extensions of the Standard Model
  • Nature of the dark matter, that contributes five times as much mass to the universe than the matter known to us
  • Baryon asymmetry of the Universe and, thus the explanation why we observe matter but not anti-matter in the universe
  • Neutrino physics
  • Automatization of theoretical calculations
