PhD Student Position in Theoretical Particle Physics (Prof. Dr. W. Porod)
The Chair for Theoretical Particle Physics (Theoretical Physics 2) at the University of Würzburg is looking for outstanding graduate students with a passion for the phenomenology of elementary particles.
Research areas of particular interest include:
- Higgs physics
- LHC phenomenology of physics beyond the Standard Model
- Neutrino physics
- Model building
- Connections to cosmology: dark matter and baryogenesis
The successful candidate should have proven skills in the methods of modern theoretical particle physics, such as:
- Feynman diagrammatic techniques
- Monte Carlo Simulations
- Group theory
