Physics Colloquium on "Direct Detection of Dark Matter" (5-Feb-2018)

Abstract:

The talk will cover the evidence for Dark Matter and the motivation for direct detection experiments. The challenging detector requirements will be discussed, results from the most sensitive XENON1T experiment will be presented and an overall theoretical interpretation will be given.
