My research is focused on jets, produced by Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), observed with the help of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) in the radio spectrum. This technique combines telescopes all over the world for simultaneous observations to increase the resolution enormously in comparison to a single-dish radio telescope. For my research, I am using the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) and the International Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) Telescope (ILT).  I am also a member of the TANAMI collaboration, which is running the only VLBI monitoring program of AGN jets in the southern sky, in combination with multiwavelength observations throughout the entire electromagnetic spectrum.

My second research topic is the star forming analysis in the galaxy M51.
Here I analyze optical high-resolution images, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).

Furthermore I mentor the astrophysical lab course  for the measurements of exoplanet transits at the Hans-Haffner-Observatory in Hettstadt.
