Congratulations to Rohit Prasad for the Successful Defense of His Doctoral Dissertation!
12.10.2026On October 9th, 2026, in Room SE6 of the Physics Institute, Mr. Rohit Prasad presented the findings of his dissertation, titled „Optimization of Circular Bragg Gratings, Quantum State Tomography, and Realistic Error Modeling for Cluster State Generation in Quantum Dots“, at a public doctoral defense, and subsequently successfully answered questions from the examiners and the audience.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adriana Palffy-Buß (Palffy-Buß Group), Rohit Prasad presented the results of his dissertation „Optimization of Circular Bragg Gratings, Quantum State Tomography, and Realistic Error Modeling for Cluster State Generation in Quantum Dots“ starting at 2:00 p.m.
He then faced the examiners: Prof. Dr. Tobias Huber-Loyola (Advisor, Karlsruher Institut of Technology), Prof. Dr. Sebastian Klembt (Experimental Physics I) und Prof. Dr. Björn Trauzettel (Theoretical Physics IV).
In his dissertation, Mr. Prasad looked at different approaches and algorithms to optimize the structure of circular Bragg gratings to enhance the performance of quantum dots as single-photon sources. Additionally, he performed calculations for generating cluster states.
The entire Department of Technische Physik extends its congratulations to Rohit Prasad on the successful completion of his doctoral degree and wishes him continued success in the future!
