Title: Probing High Energy Physics with Low Energy Experiments

Two high precision experiments in parity-violating electron scattering at very low momentum transfer will start data taking within the next two years. In this talk I will describe their motivation and possible physics impact in the contexts of the Standard Model and beyond, and address challenges and results to arrive at robust theory interpretations.
