Title: Hadronic light-by-light scattering in AdS/QCD and the muon g-2
23. April 2026 - Physik West SE 22.00.017 - 2:15 p.m.

Hadronic light-by-light (HLbL) scattering is a rich and complex QCD process and a key input in the Standard Model computation of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. For an accurate determination of the latter it is necessary to understand HLbL scattering for a wide range of energies in a quantitative manner. In this talk I will present an analysis of HLbL scattering and the muon g-2 within holographic models of QCD (hQCD) and compare the results to phenomenological dispersive approaches. I will highlight in particular the high energy constraints which follow from the operator product expansion in perturbative QCD and show that the infinite towers of axial vector and tensor meson resonances in hQCD are crucial ingredients in implementing these constraints. Finally I will show that tensor mesons, as described in hQCD, can account for the current discrepancy between dispersive and lattice studies on the HLbL contribution to the muon g-2.
