Summer school and annual meeting of QuCoLiMa

Adriana and Julien have just returned from the annual meeting of the collaborative research center QuCoLiMa (Quantum Cooperativity of Light and Matter). The event took place in Kloster Banz, near Bad Staffelstein. QuCoLiMa is a collaborative research center (in German Trans-Regio Sonderforschungbereich) exploring the interaction of quantum optics and condensed matter at the universities of Erlangen, Mainz and Saarbrücken.
During the first two days of the event, a summer school was offered, where Julien met other master and Phd students of QuCoLiMa. There, he learned about different perturbative approaches to work with the Master equation.
In the following days, all the different projects of QuCoLiMa were presented. As a project leader, Adriana gave her last report on the project C04 investigating the cooperative emission of Mössbauer nuclei in x-ray cavities. It was also time to say good bye. Since she has left the FAU Erlangen already for a while, Adriana will cease being a QuCoLiMa project leader starting with 2025. Co-project leaders  Ralf Röhlsberger and Joachim von Zanthier gave a short and heartfelt farewell speech.
