QMA Retreat and Spring School in Jena
07.04.2025Pia has just returned from the sixth QMA retreat of the excellence cluster ct.qmat. The retreat was organized for the cluster's early career scientists, including master’s students, PhD candidates and postdocs. The event took place in Jena and provided numerous opportunities to exchange ideas and discuss the research projects of the participants. Pia presented a poster on her master’s thesis about the non-Hermitian skin effect in quantum emitter chains.
Since this topic aligns with the subject of topology, Pia stayed for the following Spring School on "Topological Quantum Matter." The school featured lectures from renowned scientists with both theoretical and experimental expertise, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of the field. In addition to the scientific program, there were various social activities that provided plenty of opportunities for networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
