Nexus Sessions in the North

Fabian paid a three-day visit to the Magnetism and Coherent Phenomena research group led by Ralf Röhlsberger at DESY in Hamburg. Together with Lars Bocklage and Sven Velten, he worked on analyzing experimental data from thin-film X-ray cavity scattering experiments. This evaluation was carried out using Nexus (Nuclear Elastic X-ray Scattering Universal Software), a powerful tool for simulating and fitting Mössbauer spectra, nuclear resonant scattering data, and nuclear X-ray reflectivities.

Fabian greatly benefited from meeting Lars, the developer of Nexus. Now back in Würzburg, he is finalizing the analysis and comparing the experimental results with his theoretical predictions.
