We are currently looking for qualified

PhD Candidates in Semiconductor Growth of Quantum Materials

You will work on

Development of site-controlled quantum dots on III-V semiconductor.
Nanophotonic and electronic bandgap engineering of broadband optical III-V quantum (QD).
MBE growth process development and optoelectronic material characterization thereof in our cleanroom facilities at the Gottfried Landwehr Laboratory for Nanotechnologies.

New partnership with Korea in quantum technology established

The Chair for Applied Physics at the University of Würzburg has teamed up with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to strengthen ties and foster collaborative academic exchanges in research. On March 28, 2024, the "KAIST-JMU Quantum Technology Joint Research Center" was inaugurated in Würzburg.
