Datenschutzerklärung für die AR-Apps des Lehrstuhls:

InductionPiDAR, PUMA:Voltage laboratory and PUMA:Magnetic laboratory

Preamble

These services (hereinafter "App" or "Apps") are provided by the Chair of Physik und ihre Didaktik at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (located at Sanderring 2, 97070 Würzburg) (hereinafter "we" or "us") as the responsible institutionin accordanve the applicable data protection law.

  • As part of the InductionPiDAR app, it is possible to virtually simulate a classic physics experiment on the subject of "induction".
  • As part of the PUMA : Voltage Lab app, virtual content is superimposed on a real circuit. The aim is to make it easier to understand the basic physical concepts of simple circuits.
  • As part of the PUMA : Magnet Lab app, various experiments on magnetism are enhanced with virtual representations. This extension allows a deeper and more direct engagement with the learning object "magnetism" and should lead to a better understanding.
  • As part of the ARadioaktiv app, printed target cards are superimposed with virtual content. This is intended to provide a safe, inexpensive and easy-to-use application for student experiments in the field of nuclear physics.

We do not process any personal data about you when you use the above apps. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

1. Information on the processing of your data

Certain information is already processed automatically as soon as you use one of the apps:

1.1 Information collected during download
When you download the app, certain required information is transmitted to the app store you have selected (e.g. Google Play or Apple App Store), in particular the user name, email address, customer number of your account, time of download, payment information and individual device identification number may be processed. This data is processed exclusively by Google Playstore, for example, and is outside our sphere of influence.

1.2 Information that is collected automatically
No data is collected automatically.

1.3 Use of the app
No data about you is collected when you use the app.
We use "Unity" as the basis for the application. Unity is provided by Unity Technologies, 30 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States.
Unity's privacy policy can be viewed at the following link:
unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy

Each of the apps requires the following authorisation:
Camera access: This is required to capture QR codes, which are necessary for the app's augmented reality content to function.

The PUMA: Voltage Lab and PUMA: Magnet Lab apps also require the following authorisations when using Bluetooth data acquisition:
Bluetooth access: To enable communication with the measured value acquisition system via Bluetooth LE, the Bluetooth connection must be switched on for the duration of the measurement.
Access to the location (GPS): Depending on the operating system, location sharing must also be switched on for the duration of the measurement. However, the location data is not used within the app and is used exclusively for the functionality of Bluetooth LE.

Furthermore, no advertising identifiers are used and no usage profiles are created. We only receive statistics directly from the app store.

2 Disclosure and transfer of data

No data is passed on or transferred.
