Dr. Lorenzo Del Re

Lorenzo is a postdoctoral researcher (Senior Scientist) at the university of Würzburg working in theoretical condensed matter physics. His research focuses on strongly correlated quantum systems, quantum magnetism, and quantum simulation. He develops many-body methods beyond dynamical mean-field theory to study emergent phenomena such as magnetism and collective excitations.
His recent work explores correlated altermagnetic phases and their transport properties. In parallel, he works on quantum simulation with ultracold atoms and digital quantum computers, with a focus on harnessing quantum many-body theory for quantum information and computation.
