Automated Functional One-Loop Matching with MATCHETE

Abstract

To study the low-energy phenomenology of new-physics models, one typically performs a matching to an effective field theory. Especially in the flavor sector, relevant effects arise starting at the one-loop level, rendering tree-level matching insufficient. While technically well-understood, a complete one-loop matching calculation is still a very laborious task, full of subtleties and prone to mistakes. In my talk I will give an overview of the MATCHETE package, which fully automates the one-loop matching using functional methods, requiring only minimal user input. I will review the functional matching procedure, and discuss the details of the basis reduction, in particular the issue of evanescent operators. I will demonstrate a typical use case and give an outlook for future iterations of the program.
