Tackling amplitude complexity with finite fields and neural networks
I will present two ways in which we can use use new technology to meet the theoretical needs of precision collider measurements. Firstly, traditional bottlenecks for analytic computations for two-loop 2->3 scattering amplitudes can be sidestepped using numerical evaluations of finite fields to reconstruct IR and UV finite remainders. I will discuss the problem in general and some recent developments for amplitudes and integrals with internal masses. Secondly, I will consider how neural networks can be used to provide a general efficient framework to perform Monte Carlo integration of scattering amplitudes for fully differential predictions.
