Topological Photonics and Polaritonics
Group leader Dr. Sebastian Klembt and his team investigate topological properties of photonic and polaritonic systems. A special focus is the fabrication of semiconductor-based lattice potential landscapes and the investigation of their physical particularities. This includes Dirac and flatband dispersions in Honeycomb-, Lieb- and Kagome-lattices. Recently the team was able to demonstrate the first hybrid light-matter topological insulator in a exciton-polariton honeycomb system. The findings have been published in Nature.
