I am working on the radio and X-ray properties of galaxies which show radio emission at 22 GHz in a disk around their supermassive black hole. These galaxies are so called water megamaser galaxies (water = transition at 22 GHz, mega = luminosities 10^6 times higher than for galactic sources, maser = Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation). Single-dish observations of these sources show three distinct parts in the spectrum due to Kepler motion: blue shifted, systemic and red shifted lines. With VLBI observations it is possible to determine the position of the spots in the disk and to calculate the mass of the BH and the distance to the galaxy as well as the Hubble constant. Together with hard X-ray observations with the Swift/BAT instrument I try to analyse the connection of the X-ray and radio emission as theories predict the X-rays to be the source for the right conditions for inverse population and therefore maser emission.
