we will have the opportunity to hear a block course on High Energy Astrophysics by Gottfried Kanbach from MPE. Gottfried has for decades been a driving force behind many groundbreaking experiments in high energy astronomy. His outstanding grasp not only of intrument building but also astrophysics of pulsars, GRBs and many other phenomena is reflected also in his h-index of 58(!), and surely will make this course a unique opportunity! I would like to sincerely invite everyone interested to attend. Gottfried will of course also be available for discussions in between lectures.

Light neutrinos in Cosmology
Abstract:
Neutrinos can play an important role in the evolution of the Universe, modifying some of the cosmological observables. At the same time, the precision of present cosmological data can be used to learn about neutrino properties, in particular the absolute value of their mass, providing complementary information to terrestrial experiments.
